After serving 14 years as a director and one year as president, Charles L. Williams was elected Director Emeritus by the Builders' Exchange Association of Virginia, an honor bestowed only to three other individuals in the Association's 90-year history.
Founded in 1919, The Builders' Exchange Association of Virginia promotes cooperation between project owners, the design community, and contractors by providing an interface of information concerning upcoming and current commercial construction projects in the Commonwealth.
Mr. Williams was presented with a resolution that reads, "That the Directors of this Board, Officers and members of The Builders' Exchange Association of Virginia, extend to Charles L. Williams by this resolution, our abiding freindship and respect. Further, in recognition of his valuable service, we elect him Director Emeritus." - 12 - 20
Harris D. Butler, III was admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America, during it's 2009 Spring Meeting in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only, and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
There are approximately 5,700 current members in the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and Honorary Fellows.
